Diameter¶

Length taken across a round object through its centre. It narrows the class term and the example, and inherits its units, terms and mappings from Length and QuantityValue.

On the mappings¶

QUDT quantitykind:Diameter is the consensus reading and EMMO Diameter (ISO 80000 item 3-1.5) an exact match. PATO diameter is a close match only, for the same reason as Length: PATO models it as a length quality of a bearer rather than as a value with a unit.
